In the beginning of the story the author used personal pronouns, leading me to believe it was a personal account of an experience. The story then talked about lobster from a research standpoint making it clear this was a personal research paper. I didn't even know those existed! I think this was Mat's way of getting us prepared for Project #2 since in class he was telling us we would have to do research about the community we feel comfortable in, and do an interview. This essay was a structural representation and also makes sense that we would be looking at this again.. as a rubric.
